An assessment of WIOCC’s Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) was undertaken to evaluate its alignment with the IFC Performance Standards and international best practices. The review confirmed that WIOCC has established key ESMS elements such as policies, procedures, and management plans that support regulatory compliance and guide environmental and social risk management across its operations. Nonetheless, a few gaps were identified that need to be strengthened to achieve full alignment with IFC PS requirements. A Client Environmental and Social Action Plan (CESAP) has been prepared to address these gaps.
